Hello everyone,
As of now we have been up for approximately 33 hours (not counting the night before the trip when we were all too excited to sleep)! We faced flight delays, cranky airline personnel, bad airline food, and cramped corridors (Did you all know that Brian Grimm is 6'6'' and doesn't fit in an airline seat very well--particularly when the passenger in front of him takes full advantage of the reclining position of his airline seat for the ENTIRE seven hour flight!) On the trip back we are going to try and get an IEP written for physical space accommodations for Brian. My guess is that our attempts won't be very successful. However, through it all, we kept our good cheer! Of course, that isn't really very hard when you are embarking on a trip of a lifetime and someone else is picking up the tab (Again, thank you Fund for Teachers).
Our hotel accommodations are so very charming! We are staying in a renovated Victorian house in a family style room with four twin beds (pics to follow). We had our first meal of fish and chips and took in an author's book review and reading. We are going home to crash for the evening but will post more tomorrow.
Cheers-
Kim
